Hanging Out In Mississippi

We left Livingston on Monday morning, after we got our Texas State Inspections on the Motorhome & Car.  We spent Monday night, boondocking at the Harrah’s Casino in Bossier City, LA.

They stopped for lunch at Olive Garden, but we had to stay in the coach….that’s me peeking out the front window.  After 6 months of Gate Guarding they seem to enjoy being able to eat out now.  They didn’t even bring us a snack.

Tuesday we arrived in Madison, MS to visit Mom’s Best Friend, Connie.  Mom & Connie met in the Air Force 29 years ago, when they were stationed together at Keesler AFB MS.

Connie came over with the Crazy Redhead, Fiona.

There was much barking…Fiona had the nerve to come in & sit on my couch!

I barked my head off…

Phoebe decided she was OK long before I did.

I finally gave up, cause my throat hurt.  Then they left and we went for a ride…

uh oh, we went to their house!

We went out in Fiona’s back yard and played chase for a while.  Fiona thought we were playing, but I was trying to attack her, she just kept running away.

Finally, we were exhausted and went inside to rest, while it poured rain.

Everyone took a little nap and we decided we might tolerate each other.

Today we went over there again and started all over with the barking.  We ended up getting to stay in the motorhome by ourselves this afternoon.

Tomorrow we take off again…heading for Georgia.

  1. Not sure how I found your blog but just had to tell you how much I enjoy reading it…I so look forward to hearing what the “girls” have been up to. We have just one little “girl”, Cissy Bell. Have considered gate guarding but don’t think I could take the snakes and scorpions. Keep up the great postings.

  2. Wow! My picture is on your blog – I feel famous! It was nice to meet you, Hannah, and it was good to see you again Phoebe. I was in a pet parade this morning and met a nice English Lab. He works with the police as a drug dog. He really liked me! Mom bought a whistle that I can hear but she can’t. It makes me stop what I’m doing and pay attention to her. We came home and I took a nap while Mom sewed on potato bakers for your Mom and Grandma. Have fun in Atlanta!
